Literature and Cultural History

This area focuses particularly on research into the tradition of Italian literature from its origins to the contemporary era, including philological analysis of both manuscript and printed transmissions of texts, the reception of classical works, and the enhancement, preservation, and dissemination of both ancient and modern cultural heritage. This is achieved through the use of various media, digital tools, and a gender studies perspective. A key area of focus is Italian literature and its comparative study with other literatures, exploring different forms of poetry, extending to the most contemporary forms of short and mixed verbal-visual narratives, as well as the impact of artificial intelligence on literary creativity.

Linguistics and Philology

This area primarily addresses synchronic, historical, and sociolinguistic studies through the investigation of the evolution of both ancient and modern languages and their literary expressions, also employing philological methods. Topics of interest include glottodidactic methodologies, issues of standardization, and digital linguistics (with a particular focus on artificial intelligence). A specific focus will be the application of linguistics in institutional communication.

History and Archaeology

Research in historical studies primarily concerns modern and military history, with a particular emphasis on the history of the Church, 16th-17th century courts, and wars in European territories. There is also strong attention to the 20th century, considering topics such as totalitarianism, epidemics, and environmental and urban history. The archaeology branch focuses on the study of ancient materials, archaeometry, and the use of digital tools in archaeological research.

Philosophy

Research in philosophy encompasses several areas: moral philosophy and metaphysics, with particular attention to neuroethics and bioethics; Idealism and Phenomenology, especially the study of Hegel and Schelling; ontology and the crisis of modernity, with a focus on authors such as Adorno, Barth, and Pirandello.

Mentoring and Tutoring

Special attention is given to the mapping and design of training and assessment methodologies, including digital ones, with a focus on learning styles and the development of competencies in both lifelong learning and the educational systems at all levels. These methodologies are applied in the fields of linguistic-glottological, philological-literary, historical-geographical, and philosophical-pedagogical-didactic domains.
